The idea of releasing negative thoughts, emotions or experiences is terrifying. Forgiving a partner for betrayal, a close friend for deceit or a parent for sexual abuse seems inconceivable. Similarly, to forgive oneself for being gullible, naïve, violent or anything less than honest is equally overwhelming. In this workshop, I will share with you my personal experience in letting go of a painful past and give you tools to begin the process yourself. You will learn FOUR FORGIVENESS PRACTICES that you can personalize and practice on a regular basis until the power the memory has over you no longer carries the pull it presently does. The process of letting go has nothing to do with condoning the action or inaction of yourself or others. It is a process of releasing the power the memory has over you, so you can find freedom and ultimately, peace. The practices you will learn in this workshop will help to lessen the effects of your memories so that you can move forward freer, cleaner and lighter. If you are not aware of what is at the root of your reactions, the practices of forgiveness will begin to gently nudge their way up against the stored memories and bring them closer to the surface where you may choose to access them or not. If you are aware of what sets you off, then you are one step closer to finding your freedom. Forgiveness practices are one of many ways to release energy. It is never an easy journey, but if you have the courage to attend, I promise you that you will come out the other side transformed!
